Main research fields: having for a long time engaged in the research of early Precambrian geology and metamorphic petrology, early Precambrian isotope chronology and iron copper mineral research, making important contributions to applied research and basic research. He has published 15 monographs (including 1 collective drawing), more than 120 papers, 27 kinds of exploration reports and scientific research reports.

In terms of ministerial scientific research achievement, he has obtained 1 item of first prize which won second class of National Natural Science Prize, 2 items of second prize, and 1 item of third prize.
